Sugar Tales Brooklyn #3, 2007
Photograph
A sugar-coated marshmallow bunny photo bombs a row of vinyl-clad Brooklyn row homes. Meredith Allen’s Sugar Tales is a series of photographs that capture a snapshot of the constantly shifting world around us. The subject matter displays the connection between human and landscape as well as the sweet memories of childhood innocence.
When we approached Allen about using one of her Sugar Tales photographs, she pulled this unseen piece from her collection as it captured the Greenpoint neighborhood where Brooklyn Bunny was founded.
My photography depicts the ever-changing landscape of the world around me. I look for opportunities to introduce a new context to my surroundings. -Meredith Allen
